material meaning – book | film | research
material meaning explores how humanity understands materials. We are always surround by materials - we build and shape our environment with them, they give form to our lives.
The book explores the interconnectedness and complexity of materials and how we interact with them. It is divided into three parts, thus illuminating visual, emotional, and theoretical aspects of materials and our interaction with them. The collection of material experiments, in combination with the documentation of special human-material relationships and expert interviews, reveals a new and meaningful perspective on materials and their beauty.
